Geotextile MattressEXPLANATION

  • Concept

    Geotextile Mattress is a flexible formwork made with high strength geotextile. It can be filled with concrete mortar or soil depending on the application.

  • Application

    Slope and shore protection, revetment structure, canal lining and etc.

  • Characteristics

    1. Easy handling and installation.
    2. Through the durable and ductile formwork, the filling material is able to fit the terrain perfectly and stay in place.
    3. Plant growth medium can be filled for vegetative purpose.

Geotextile MattressCONSTRUCTION PROCESS

  • Foundation Levelling

    Clean the ground surface of the site. And then establish the necessary level lines.

  • ACEFormer™ Laying

    Lay ACEFormer™ on the existing slope and fix it in place.

  • ACEFormer™ Anchor Filling

    Insert filling pipe into a small slit cut at the upper anchor side of the ACEFormer™. Then fill the anchor with the cement mortar specified on the design drawing.

  • ACEFormer™ Body Filling

    After the filling at the anchor side reaches the designed height, turn the filling pipe to the slope direction and fill the ACEFormer™.

  • Sealing

    After the ACEFormer™ on the slope is filled to the designed height; seal the filling opening with cement mortar.

  • Repeat Process

    Repeat step 2 to 5 to achieve the designed range.

  • Shore Protection of ACEFormer ™ is completed.

Geotextile MattressDemonstrative Case

Channel Slope Protection, Kaohsiung, Taiwan

The purpose of this project was to broaden the channel and improve the drainage system, so that current does not overflow and reduce the chances of flood. The bottom of the design was based on RC foundation. ACEFormer ™ was placed on the surface to protect the slope and prevent it from erosion. ACEformer ™ provides a green space and reduce environmental impact. The drainage system is significantly improved, and people are protected from the floods.
